A/Prof Gallagher is a Consultant Physician and Cardiologist who, after visiting Riverina Cardiology on a part-time basis for over 13 years, has relocated from Sydney to Wagga Wagga to join the practice full-time. A/Prof Gallagher is now a principal in Riverina Cardiology, contributing to the leadership and delivery of specialist cardiac care across the Riverina region.

In addition to his work at Riverina Cardiology, A/Prof Gallagher is Director of the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital, where he oversees critical cardiac care and supports advanced treatment for patients with acute heart conditions.

He completed his Bachelor of Medicine at the University of New South Wales in 1983, earned his Doctor of Medicine (UNSW) in 1994, and trained in Cardiology at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. A/Prof Gallagher has held a Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians since 1990.
